In the year 2000, a move was made to the so called ‘Oesterputten’ on the Havendijk in Yerseke.

The Oyster Academy was established in 2013.

In the year 2014, the Dutch oyster sector was hit by a predatory snail, so that the young oysters in particular had little chance to survive. The production of bottom oysters declined by 40%. Where most colleague oyster farmers saw the solution in importing oysters, we saw the solution in alternative cultivation methods such as off-bottom cultivation.

In 2015, the off-bottom cultivation of oysters was started.

2019: Since the experiment phase in 2015, we have developed four different cultivation methods, which enabled us to expand our range with four different types of oysters from Zeeland off-bottom cultivation.

In the year 2020, the cultivation of oysters on the ‘Veerse Meer’ started.
